about me

I’m Lindsay. Thank you for stopping by.

My passions include: ancient philosophy (especially Stoicism), love, paintings, walled gardens, classic cinema, lindy hop, blues, jazz, opera, and humor.

I’m a compulsive reader and writer since age eight.

My major influences are: the natural world I explored growing up on a farm in central Maine, watching too much Masterpiece Theatre as a child, the stories told by my eccentric family, the Bible (especially the funny bits), Spain and Spanish culture (where I’ve lived for the past seven years), the Stoic philosophers, Montaigne, Audrey Hepburn, Flannery O’Conner, and fairy tales.

While I was born and raised in rural Maine, I now make my home on the southern coast of Spain.

If you are interested in working with me as a life coach, contact me at philosofina@gmail.com.

  1. Hi Lindsay, Thank you for your excellent Stoic Week article; it’s one of the most helpful (and well written) offerings I’ve read there. I look forward to reading your blog! Best, Tony

  2. I just started reading up on the stoics and followed the link to your blog, and found here a beautiful and wise and tender place. Thank you for sharing yourself.
